"What bothers me the most about this hysteria over “sexting” (aside from the “word” sexting itself, which is fucking retarded) is that there seems to be this consensus that having naked pictures of you floating around is the worst possible thing ever.
Well fuck that.
There are many naked pictures of me in existence, in the hands of many different people–ex-boyfriends, people I’ve flirted with, whoever–and my life has not been dramatically harmed as a result. Granted, I’m not fifteen, and granted, I don’t give a shit, but this idea that being publicly exposed as having secondary sexual characteristics is just mortifying is pathetic.
