Everyone is talking about Kanye, so I figured I’d chime in. Let me start this off by saying I’ve never had an amazing time at a large venue, even when I was right up front. I saw some of my favorite bands at large venues and it was a lot of fun, but nothing really memorable. My top 5 concerts all were at small dives, where I was up close, crowded around fellow hardcore fans, dancing, pushing and singing. Wednesday at the Key Arena changed all that. Kanye made me believe in large venue performances. He is my favorite hip-hop artist and now I believe he is one of the greatest performers of our generation, if not the greatest.

I could feel the passion and dedication oozing through him every second he was on stage (and he never once left the stage.) His stage presence squeezed the energy out of the crowd by sheer force. This doesn’t even cover the creativity of the set, the way he strung his songs together and how awesome his concept came together.

He was one man, on a stage, pouring his passion for music and letting us share. It was unbelievable. I’m never going to forget it.

Row 31. The farthest back I’ve ever been in a concert. But I believe even if I was on the bleachers, I would’ve had the time of my life. If you like Kanye at all, you gotta find a way to check him out.

Oh and I almost forgot.  I was in bed for the past 2 days and during the Kanye concert because of a horrible viral throat infection that I still have now.  I almost did not go, but I did and man, I forgot I was even sick for that hour… Of course, it came back and I’m still sick :P
