On the walk home today (beautiful weather in NYC), it dawned on me that the media is simply an extension of corporations’ advertising efforts. Anything that isn’t directly used to promote a company serves an indirect purpose: making that particular outlet tolerable so the overt ads go down easier.

LO-fucking-L hahahahah. What VP of marketing at Olive Garden approved this? Such a great image haha. This can not be like the Wal-Mart situation since clearly Olive Garden had a strong hand in creating this. What kind of image are they trying to garner? Who is their audience?
